Re-built from the ashes

The Mount Without has been meticulously designed to create the perfect wedding, from walking down the aisle to last drinks at the bar. 

Using the flexible nature of the venue’s spaces, The Crypt, Mezzanine, Main Hall, gardens & 15th century tower are designed to fill the space to best reflect your parties style - whatever the size of your guestlist! Options include using our ‘in-house’ service or you can simply dry hire the space and bring in your own planners & catering team. 

Our blend of old, scarred walls and new ‘Infinite’ art installation, together with the rolling art exhibitions in The Crypt, sets the scene for a stylish soirée that’s classic yet open to your interpretation.

We are proud to be truly independent. Built by local tradesmen & women, backed by a local businessman, owned & run by a local businesswoman, and using independent Bristol caterers and independent local suppliers throughout.

We offer private viewings in office hours (MONDAY to THURSDAY 10:00 - 17:00 & FRIDAY 10:00 - 11:00) Please contact events@themountwithout.co.uk if you would like to arrange a visit.

All our prices include use of the Main Hall, The Crypt, and the Gardens. They also include mood/house lighting, 150 chairs, 20 rustic trestle tables, bar, bar staff, soft furnishings, use of the kitchen, and a personal wedding/venue coordinator if using our in-house option. 

Please note, candles, flowers and other personal items are not included.

As a small independent Bristol business, it’s very important to us to work with small independent local catering companies. 

Our Venue Director has a long history of working in hospitality and knows the importance of great food at a wedding, and of providing good value for money when it comes to catering.  

Our in-house catering partners have been hand-picked for the quality of their food, their communication skills, and their experience in the events field. 

As we are three separate companies catering here at TMW it means we all work in different ways, include different items & price differently. For this reason do contact us all separately with any questions, queries and quotes on more options and what's included. 

Dry Hire 

If opting to use The Mount Without on a dry hire basis, you can bring in outside catering teams of your choice but please note TMW events still handle all alcohol and must be organised through them 


Bar 

The Mount Without is perfectly set-up to look after all your thirsty guests. Our bars stock a range of local craft ales from Wiper & True, local spirits and signature cocktails from the award-winning local cocktail bar Milk Thistle, along with draft lager and cider. 

In the Main Hall – where the more formal elements of the wedding take place – we have a service fridge for welcome drinks and table wine. The Crypt, meanwhile, is home to a marvellous main bar, perfect for reception drinks and after parties. 

We also use a local wine merchant, who has helped us curate a wonderful wine list, with various drinks packages (download here). Alternatively, we offer a corkage option so you can bring your own (limited to wine only) This option includes staff to pour, chilling, glassware hire and disposal of bottles. 

In collaboration with Averys Wine Merchants (download here) or KASK Wines (download here) we offer guests a reduced BYO option of £9 per bottle when choosing them as your wine supplier.

WEDDINGS COORDINATION EXPLANED

As part of your wedding, we offer a free wedding venue coordinator. You will be allocated your coordinator one year before the wedding (lots of helpful samples on timings/table plans will be sent on confirmation)

Please note this is not a full wedding planning service, more an experienced person to help guide you, while you plan your wedding and be there on the day to make sure all goes smoothly. They will also greet your suppliers that you have booked and point them in the right direction. They can set up simple decorations such as candles, flowers, table plans/names.

Most couples plan the wedding they wish, book the suppliers and we are around to help guide the day with our experience of timelines and table layouts with two pre meetings.

If you are thinking that you may need more help, you are of course welcome to hire any planner you wish as an addition. Please note with dry hire this option is NOT included and comes with a £450 + VAT charge
